Privacy Policy
Version 1.0 • Last Updated: August 2, 2026 • Effective for all platform voters and organizations
1. Introduction
Welcome to our E-Voting Platform. We are committed to protecting your privacy, ensuring zero-knowledge voter anonymity, and safeguarding all personal and election data processed on our system. This Privacy Policy explains how information is collected, encrypted, used, and protected during voter accreditation and ballot submission.
2. Information We Collect
To facilitate secure voting while preserving absolute ballot privacy, we collect minimal necessary telemetry:
- Voter Accreditation Credentials: Email addresses and institution voter identifiers provided by election administrators to issue single-use voting tokens.
- Encrypted Voting Tokens: Single-use cryptographic hashes generated during token issuance for ballot authorization.
- Audit Telemetry: Anonymized transaction timestamps, browser user-agent headers, and audit action logs for security verification.
3. Voter Anonymity & Zero-Knowledge Security
Our platform enforces strict separation between voter identities and submitted ballots. Once a vote is cast, it is cryptographically sealed into an anonymous ballot registry. It is mathematically impossible for any administrator, system operator, or third party to trace a specific ballot back to your identity.
4. How We Use Information
- To verify voter eligibility and deliver unique, single-use voting access links.
- To prevent duplicate voting and maintain tamper-evident audit registries.
- To issue verifiable, cryptographic PDF voting receipts to ballot holders.
- To ensure platform uptime, mitigate denial-of-service attacks, and comply with security audits.
5. Data Security & Storage
All data in transit is encrypted using 256-bit SSL/TLS protocols. Data at rest is encrypted in secure database repositories with strict role-based access control (RBAC). Audit logs are cryptographically hashed using SHA-256 to ensure data integrity.
6. Cookies & Local Session Storage
We use essential session storage strictly for operational needs—such as holding transient ballot selections prior to final submission and storing token validation states. We do not use tracking cookies or sell voter data to third parties.
7. Contact & Data Protection Officer
If you have questions regarding this Privacy Policy or election data security, please contact our support team at support@zelect.com.
Your votes are end-to-end encrypted and completely decoupled from voter identities.
